Summer Fly By

I just can't believe that July 4th has come and gone, and with NO fireworks this year :(.  Brent and I had a wonderful few weekends at the lake and the beach with family and friends.  The thing about weekend trips is that they are never long enough and the ride home on Sunday or Monday is always depressing.  The only way to cure it is with the plan of another weekend trip! And the cycle starts over though I would not trade the memories of the weekend trips for anything.  I also know that then Baby Emery makes her debut, the weekend trips will be few and far between.  So for now, our weekends will stay busy with trips across Texas.
This week I am 25 weeks along and feeling great.  I do feel like my belly is growing everyday but I guess that is a good sign.  My appetite has picked up and I really find myself hungry every 2 hours.  I am trying to stay inside as much as possible and when I go outside I try to find a pool, a lake or a beach to take a dip in.  I did purchase a tankini a few weeks ago and I am having a little trouble adjusting to that type of bathing suit. I feel like tankini's on other people are so cute but just not on me.  I really still like to sport the bikini but I am sure there will be a time very soon that my belly button pops out and I start to feel like shamu the whale.  We are starting to clean out the office to make room for the baby's room which I am very excited about decorating.  When it comes to decorating a little girls room, I feel like everything out there that is pink is the cutest pink thing I have ever seen.  This is why you must take a friend or family member shopping with you to help talk some common sense into your purchasing decisions. ;)
Today I called the hospital and registered for a few classes.  Well actually I registered for all of them.  I just kept thinking in my head that it is best to educate myself  and/or Brent. When I told Brent about the all day Saturday class that is 12 hours long, his exact words were "are we getting our masters degree?" which I though was funny considering that was just one of the classes I signed up for.  The other classes are ones like breast feeding and car seat installation but the long one is an all day affair and I am sure after that class we will be Masters in Child Preparation...which is half the battle. Right?
